Vintage Ephemera Flower - Vintage Street Market

Sometimes when I am at work, I take a small project with me that evolves. This is a great project to do on a break or at lunchtime, or perhaps while you are on a conference call!
Supplies:
EK Success flower punch, Vintage Paper Ephemera – be sure your paper is not brittle, so it will withstand punching.   If it is brittle, save it for a canvas or other project.  Kraft paper 1 1/2 inch circle. Distress inks in your favorite colors, Tacky Glue (my bottle is well loved).  I also added Glimmer Mist in Italian Sunset, when I got home.
Be sure to check out the awesome Vintage ephemera at Vintage Street Market!
Punch strips for the flowers from the vintage paper. Adhere together by gluing petals together at the ends.  You will have a long, straight line of petals.  I rolled my flower around a pencil, very tightly.  After your flower is rolled, put a lot of tacky glue or you can use Glubers on the Kraft circle.  Allow it to dry slightly.  Loosen up your rolled flower until it has the thickness and look you like and attach to the glue on the circle.  Let dry.  Once it is dry, you can begin fussing with the petals to give the full look.  When I was happy with the look, I added concord grape and tea stain distress inks.  When I got home, I added some Glimmer Mist in Italian Sunset.
This is a cute and simple project that can add a splash of color to your picnic table, graduation table or wedding table.

Catholic Scrapbooking Week One Challenge

It is time for me to do a little soul searching and clarifying.  On my other blog Catholic Scrapbooking, I am running a six week faith builder and renewal class, based on the teachings of the Catholic church, but open to anyone.  Here is my first layout. It includes my post Lenten thoughts.  I am also using up my "stuff".  I had a lovely Prima flower and 7 Gypsies Victoria paper (wonder why I like that line?). Thanks for stopping by!

Have a wonderful week!
