365 Cards Day 209 - Super Sketchy Sunday!
Time to start thinking about back to school! Here is my "happy fall" card. Love the vintage images combined with the Jenni Bowlin patterned paper. The images are again from Karen at Graphics Fairy. I appreciate her eye for vintage illustrations and drawings.

Ocean Friends Art Journal Page
As promised last week, here is a bold example using Maigan Lynn's
Ocean Friends digital stamp. This is a page, ready to use, for my art
journal. For this page I used very similar supplies to the cards I made
last week!
Supplies:
1. Art Journal with gesso on page
2. K & Company travel paper (torn for seaweed), and acetate jelly fish
3. Glitter glue: blueberry ice, waterfall, and grape
4. Sakura gel pens and Crayola colored pencils
Have fun and get messy! I love the mermaid with a streak of teal hair and the bright colors for her friends and the fauna.
Looking forward to seeing you in August!

365 Cards Day #202 Super Sketchy Sunday
Another fabulous Wendi sketch to use.
Isn't this image super? I found her at Graphic Fairy. I used K and Company Travel paper on a 5 x 5 inch card created from Bazzill Card Stock. The embellishments are the shell and the blue crab, from K and Company and the sentiment from Tim Holtz. I embellished the wave caps with Distress Stickles in Picket Fence. Hope this summer is giving all of my readers, reason to Celebrate you!

365 Cards Day 203 Floral Fantasy
The challenge is to add a minimum of 10 flowers using at least two different methods at 365 cards for day 203.
This card has 4 stamped and hand colored flowers. Three paper flowers with pearl centers and three sprigs of vintage flowers that I misted to match the poppies. The poppies are colored with Crayola colored pencils and Faber-Castell metallic gold and copper accents. I added a little sparkle to those colored flowers by adding Rock Candy Stickles over all. This really drew out the colors. I love the vintage Lily of the Valley sprigs misted with Italian Sunset Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist. The sentiment is from Tim Holtz and was given dimension with Glossy Accents. Thanks for stopping by my blog!

365 Cards Day #201 Again and Again and Again
The challenge for day 201, use the same sentiment three times on your card. The sentiment I chose was "happy birthday". It is embossed on the pink card, stamped with Crafty Secret stamp on the french language paper and cut and glued to the Crafty Secrets drawing.

365 Cards Day #200 Inside Out
The challenge for the 200th day of the year was to use a two sided card stock for your card.
I used a patterned paper from Webster's Pages, a Martha Stewart punch, a Maya Road ribbon flower, Webster's Pages bling and a Tim Holtz sentiment. Easy peasy!

365 Cards Day 198 and 199
I am really having fun with the challenges at 365 Cards. Day 198 was a "Word Wednesday" this week's word was playful! Here is the card I created using Webster's Pages papers and October Afternoon letters accented with Glossy Accents. I love the bright colors and the balloons!
Have a wonderful week!
Day 199 was Earth Tones only. I made this card by using a 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 kraft cardstock background that I rounded the corners on. Four patterned papers were cut 1/4 inch smaller and had corners rounded. Before I adhered the last layer, I copies a tiny photo of my grandma on a cream notebook paper and trimmed it down, wrapped the card four times with hemp from Lawn Fawn and added the sentiment and paper rose from Wild Orchid. This photo was taken in the early 1920's at the beach at Blackpool. I really love it and think it makes a great romantic card image!
Have a wonderful week!

365 Cards Day 197 Rock Your Style 3 Cards!
So what is my preferred style? I guess I would call it a heritage, vintage, shabby fusion.
I love to use patterned papers (each of these cards has at least 3) on a plain card background. I love to used punches and ink. My cards almost always have a dimensional element or two to draw your eye.
What do you think? What would you call my style?
These cards feature papers from Melissa Frances and My Mind's Eye, Punches from Martha Stewart and EK Success, computer generated or rub on sentiments and a little bling!

Challenges from 365 Cards
Just completed three challenges for 365 Cards:
A very belated Day 186 which was themed finished in 15 (minutes). Here is my quick card!
Day 187 - Stamp It All
This card has both digital and conventional stamps. The super cute snowman is by Sandra Caldwell and is called Sir Snowman. I colored him with Crayola Colored Pencils, Sakura Gel Markers and Stickles accents. The snowflakes and the sentiment are hand stamps and are from Crafty Secrets. I inked the edges of the card with prussian blue ink and stamped the sentiment and snowflakes with royal blue ink. The snowman has a dimensional nose colored and cut from the same stamp!
Day 193 - Centered This challenge was to have everything on your card centered.
Thanks for stopping by and have a blessed weekend!

Christmas in July!
It's time to think about planning ahead for Christmas and those
winter birthdays! What odd advice for July! I want to show you two
cards that I made in two very different styles using the super cute bundled up girl and her cat digital stamp by Kathy Cyr.
The
first card is a bundled up birthday card, perfect for those colder
weather winter birthdays. This card features a white card with embossed
happy birthday folder on shimmery white paper. I used water color
pencils (General Brand - Kimberly) to "color" the stamp, then I made
the painted look using a very fine tip brush. With just a little
patience and time you can have the look of a water color painting. I
think she has a really sweet soft look. Rather than leaving her on the
card stock she was printed on, I fussy cut around her and mounted the
cut out stamp with dimensional tape. I also used a make a wish rub on
on white card stock and some pink twirly twine.
This second card looks very different! It is Christmas in July!
The
card features background patterned papers from Jillibean Soup mounted
on a white card. For the coloring on this digital stamp I used Sakura
Gel pens and my Crayola colored pencils. The sentiment was printed on
white card stock and the edges inked. I'm proud to say that I have one
Christmas Card created!

Ocean Friends Tag
Here is a sneak peek at the Ocean Friends digital stamp by Maigan Lynn. This month, I will have three separate projects to show you using this fun fresh, summertime stamp!
I loved making this cute tag. The supplies I used included; a black heavy card tag, double sided tape, green tinsel glitter, Sakura Gel Pens, skeleton leaves in ivory and Mudd Puddles in Cabana Beach. There are so many ways to color this stamp. For this image, I used gel pens. I accented the tiny bubbles with waterfall glitter glue. As you will see from my samples later in the month, I had a hard time figuring out exactly what the best look was for this lovely lady. I trimmed the colored stamp and mounted it on the tag. The glitter was added by using a 1//2 inch width double sided tape and applying the green tinsel glitter. I added the leaves using a liquid adhesive and then frosted a thin line of Cabana Beach Mudd Puddles. I love all of the texture here.
Hope you enjoy the quick peek at this lovely lady and her friends. Check back later this month on Saturdays for more examples using this great digital stamp.

365 Cards Days 182 and 183
I love the prompts at 365 card! Some year maybe I will make them all.
Today, I finished Challenge 182, to create a landscape with torn paper.
For this card I used a white 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 inch card blank. The papers that were torn all all from the Graphic 45 Secret Garden collection. The mailbox was cut from a Webster's Pages 6 x 6 inch paper. I have a really old Plaid metal ruler that I use to help with tearing the edges. The "snow" on the mountains was created using White Picket Fence Distress Stickles. I have been using them for snow and whitecaps lately. I used a little bit of blue Sakura Glaze pen to add dimension to the mountains.
For day 183, the challenge was buttons, bows and beads. For the base of this card I made a stair step card base of blue card stock from Bazzill. (Look to Split Coast Stampers for a fine tutorial on making these). All of the patterned paper is by Tim Coffey for K & company, the travel collection. The stamp is a digital from Queen Kat Designs of a fabulous mermaid. I colored her with Crayola colored pencils and added Watercolor Stickles for the bubbles, and Glitter Stickles for the necklace. So how about the challenge elements? She has a Swarovski crystal drop in her hair, a bow on the first step and blue and white vintage buttons on the third layer.
Have a blessed 4th of July! May we always be "One Nation, under God, with liberty and justice for all!"

Vintage Bird Tag Swap
I have been busy this week creating Vintage looking Bird Tags for a Swap on Scrapbook.com hosted by Martica. I have been working with great images that I downloaded from my go to site for vintage images The Graphic Fairy Blog. Karen has such awesome images. I am truly in awe of the great work various artists have done over time memorializing the world around them. I hope that you are keeping cool this summer day! Blessings to all of you!
